Some spots are in full shade and the subtlety of colored foliage calms and soothes. We use blooming begonias and torenia here also but sometimes it is fun to just let the coleus go wild and even send out its own small flowers.

As soon as frost danger is over, we plant pansies and other spring flowers to bloom until it gets so hot that summer annuals are in order.
